Privacy Policy

The short version: no account, no name or email, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. We don't sell anything about you.
This policy covers hyperlocal.games (the "website") and Cook To Survive (the "app"), published by Hyperlocal Games LLC ("we", "us").
What stays on your device
The app works fully offline. Your favorites, "cook soon" list, meal plan, shopping list, skills, gear and pantry are stored on your device. Deleting the app removes them.
Optional sync
If sync is available in your version, the app creates a random anonymous identifier on first launch. It isn't linked to your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, and we never ask for one. With it, the app can back up your favorites, "cook soon" list, meal plan and shopping list to our server. We store only a hash of the secret that goes with the identifier, not the secret itself. The app works the same with or without sync.
Feedback you choose to send
Only when you submit feedback from inside the app, we receive what you typed, the screen you were on, a snapshot of the app's state, a short log of recent in-app events, and any photos you attach. We use it only to understand and fix problems.
What we don't do
The app has no advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no account system. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. We don't collect health data about you; the app shows nutrition information about food, which is informational only and not medical advice.
The website
No cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for a short period for security and reliability. We don't use them to identify or profile visitors.
When you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and to improve our apps. We don't share it, and we'll delete it on request.
Children
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Deletion and your rights
You can ask us at any time what we hold and have it deleted, including feedback you've sent and synced data. Email us and we'll respond promptly.
Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above, and we'll update the App Store privacy details before a change ships.
